Pasture Pals

Was born out of a desire to aid in offsetting the ongoing, common equine ownership tragedies.  After adopting several rescue horses and two Wild Mustangs, it was apparent that education, support and having a village were the keys to being able to navigate the journey of transitioning the horses to their new home initially and long term.
Pasture Pals offers three key components to aid in this process for the horses and their owners.

The Ropes

Initial training for volunteers and prospective and current owners. Pasture Pals provides hands-on training for anyone who wants to start at the beginning and learn the very basics of horse handling. Any instruction past basic horsemanship is referred to a professional who has a proven track record and is willing to provide a supportive environment for the horse and owner.

The Grazing Place

Ongoing support for the horses and owners Pasture Pals has a community to lend in person and online support where honesty and a desire to learn is modeled and applauded. No question or concern is too big or too small. We all have the same goal: to understand and learn how to give horses what they need.

Horse Play Days

Having fun and putting a purpose to the education Pasture Pals offers Play Days in honor of Hani, a personal horse who crossed Rainbow Bridge last year. Play Days are where it all comes together by putting the pieces into practice. Each Play Day has a purpose and theme where participants are encouraged to stretch themselves and their horses while having fun. Equine obstacles, patterns, mock trail rides and more are examples of the tools that are used during the Play Days.
